Just a quick update:
On Sunday the 22nd of July, we decided to pack up and take a much needed vacation to Nauvoo. We left at 7:00am on Monday morning, drove for about 3 hours, then the bus broke down. (Oh we adopted a new member of the family at the end of June... it is a 77 passenger school bus. it was about time if you ask me!!!) It turned out to be not such a big deal... it had only overheated. whew! it was a pretty easy fix... we poured all our water supply on the engine ti cool it down, but we still had to wait another 20 minutes before it was running again. What an adventure! That happened 3 more times before we figured out that if we had just turned on the heater, it wouldn't have happened at all!!!
So basicly, a 6 1/2 hour drive turned out to be a 9 1/2 hour drive.
Once we got there, we went to a few of our favorite shows. You remember the last time we went to Nauvoo? Well... my adorable children still have all the lines and musical lyrics memorized to every one!!! It was alot of fun to re-live all those sweet memories.
But then... after we had spent a whole 6 hours there... we decided that spending another day in such miserable heat was not something we were extatic about. So.... Can you guess what we did? Yep!!! We headed home!!! Our 4 day adventure was abruptly condensed into 24 hours. And you know what the best part is?... My kids never complained. I have such good kids!!!
